You may find a situation where you need people to complete online training before they sign up for an event, such as a workshop. The simplest way to achieve this is use a Barrier widget:
Barrier widgets prevent progress through a module unless the activities above it have been completed.
I don’t have the workshop ready yet
There is also the scenario that you need people to start training before a workshop’s details are finalised. You can still add an event widget to a module and that event will limit progression as it will be impossible to complete.
