What's new in this release?

MODULES

The module settings have been enhanced, whereby when the option Module has certificate is set to YES there are some additional options available:

• Award CPD hours on certificate - When this option is selected, the amount of CPD (Continuing Professional Development) hour(s) / minute(s) can be added, and this will be displayed on the completion certificate.
  • NOTE - The hours awarded for course completion can be deliberately entered separately to the Show estimated duration, as the two numbers may be different.
• List skills on certificate - When this option is selected, a maximum of 10 skills can be added, and these will be displayed on the completion certificate to highlight course contents.

Both options above act independently giving platform administrators more choice on the details displayed for module certificates.

In this example, the following options have been configured:

• Award CPD hours on certificate - 2 Hour(s)
• List skills on certificate -
  • Training in health safety
  • Awareness of safety regulations / principles
  • Communication skills
  • Observation skills
  • Dedication to continual improvement

Should you at any point wish to remove a skill from the certificate then select the X icon next to the skill and save your changes. From this point forwards the skill you have removed will no longer display on any future module certificates generated.

Within the Module has certificate section there is now also a new Preview Certificate button.

When the Preview Certificate button is selected, a sample PDF of the module will be downloaded to your local device based on the settings you have entered.

In this example we can see both the CPD hours and skills all listed.

In the above example a custom design has been created for module certificates.

BUG FIXES

This release includes the following bug fixes:

Forms

• JIRA# NFC-2710 - Introduction of a new custom field within Forms for auto-registration of users into your platform. This feature needs to be configured by the Frog team. For more information, please contact the Frog Service Desk on 01422 395 939 or support@frogeducation.com.
• JIRA# NFC-2700 - Logic has been applied to the platform and the use of forms that are shared publicly, whereby if the option “Single submission form” is selected but the user is public (i.e. not logged in) the setting will be ignored allowing users to successfully complete their form submissions. However, for authenticated users, the “Single submission form” logic is applied.

Modules

• JIRA# NFC-2746 / STAB-4051 / IALSTAB-1013 - Should a module contain the Task Quiz widget and have “Advanced Settings” (ie. Examination Mode, Limit Quiz Attempts etc) configured, when the module is duplicated these advanced quiz settings will also be duplicated into the duplicated module.
• JIRA# NFC-2661 - An improvement has been made to the updating of groups and in turn modules allocated to groups, whereby new users will automatically be allocated to modules if associated with the relevant group. For example, I have a module called “Work, Health & Safety” and this module has been allocated to a group called “WHS”. Should a new user be added to the platform and added to the group “WHS” they will automatically be granted access to the module “Work, Health & Safety”.

Question Widget

• JIRA# NFC-2829 - Should a site contain multiple Question widgets, upon editing the content of a Question widget and exiting edit mode, the site will update with all question widgets loading with the updated content.

SCORM Player Widget

• JIRA# NFC-2744 / STAB-4063 - Further improvements have been made to the SCORM Player widget to improve the scope of various SCORM packages to ensure that they launch the content successfully.
