What's new in this release?

Quizzes

This release introduces a new question type in quizzes called “Manually Marked”. This question type allows managers or an approval group to review submitted answers and manually award the appropriate marks.

When a quiz containing a “Manually Marked” question type is added to a module, it will follow a similar approval workflow to the Task Text Submit and Task File Submit widgets, where the learner is notified that the quiz is awaiting approval.

This new question type allows learners to input more complex answers in their own words. Unlike automated marking, this means you do not need to provide a sample answer in advance. Those marking the questions are empowered to assess whether the learner understands the underlying concept, even if they do not use specific expected terms in their response.

My Learning Widget

• JIRA# NFC-3243 - Performance improvements have been made to better handle the allocation of linked modules, ensuring they display correctly in learners’ My Learning area.

Reporting Application

• JIRA# NFC-3175 - Compliance reports have been updated to display both the learner’s score and the time taken to complete an associated quiz.
