Manual Management
FrogLMS provides a User Management interface that allows the manual creation and management of all user data, including usernames and passwords.
This approach is usually only appropriate if you have a small number of users, however, even if you are using one of our integration solutions, this provides the ability for you to add occasional users and/or manage administrative accounts easily.

CSV Import
FrogLMS’s CSV Import solution provides a template file with headings all set up, ready to import. Users can then be manually entered into the CSV using a spreadsheet, or cut and pasted from other systems. The CSV file can then be manually uploaded.
Alternatively, if your HR Solution is able to produce a “CSV Report” that has all the users in this format, then this can be run in a more automatic way. By running your report, for example, at midnight every night and then pushing the generated CSV file to FrogLMS through a standard web service. This creates a completely automated method of updating the user information in FrogLMS without having to get involved in any programming or incurring mounting costs.

FrogLMS APIs
FrogLMS provides a suite of “RESTFUL” APIs, which you can access yourself. This allows your team to build their own integration layer, pulling information from your existing systems and injecting it instantly into the platform.

Microsoft Azure Import
Many businesses already have integrations between their HR systems and Microsoft Azure to provide automatic logins for their users.
FrogLMS provides a built-in integration that can collect this information directly from Microsoft Azure, removing the need for more complicated integrations.

Custom Integrations
If none of the above mechanisms are appropriate or desirable for whatever reason, then Frog can work directly with you to create a custom integration.

“Push” into Frog
We can support you in “pushing” information from your existing systems into Frog using our APIs, ranging from providing advice and guidance to working with you on the development. This approach usually takes a few days and costs can range from nothing to a few thousand pounds, depending on the level of support you ask for.
We suggest that you budget £2,000 to £5,000, but we will speak to you in more detail before you place your order.
“Pull” from Frog
Alternatively, it is possible with some HR type systems to “pull” information directly from them using their APIs.
This approach is often more complicated as it can require extensive work with your HR provider, along with the provision of access to a testbed of their solution for development and testing (most companies with systems that hold central user data are used to providing this to partners, but they don’t all do it free of charge).
This approach could take from a week to a month depending on the complexity and the access and communication of your team and the 3rd party provider. We suggest that you budget between £5,000 and £10,000, but we will speak to you in more detail before you place your order.

Our Recommendation
Frog is used to building all sorts of integrations, and in principle anything is possible. In our experience, however, it is too easy to get hung up on trying to create a perfect world straight away and this desire for technical perfection can often get in the way of what you’re really trying to achieve. We therefore recommend starting simple, and ratcheting up the complexity as and when it’s needed rather than before you start anything else.
